Al-Barkaat Public School (+2)

The school is situated on the Anoopshahr Road near Jamalpur Railway Crossing approximately 5 kms from Aligarh Railway Station. The school prepares students for All India Secondary/Sr. Sec. School Examination (Class X/XII) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. It also caters for separate residential facilities to Boys and Girls from classes VI to XII. The medium of instruction is English at all levels.
The school has separate well-equipped science laboratories viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, computer Science and Mathematics for Secondary/Sr. Sec. level. These laboratories provide opportunities to understand the subject well through experiments done under the supervision of qualified and experienced teachers.
The school has a well established & spacious library. The library has on its shelves a large number of text books, story-books, Encyclopedia, reference books and books on moral values and general knowledge in English, Hindi and Urdu. The library has regular subscription to competitive examination magazines such as Science Reporter, Competition Success Review, journals and periodicals alongwith national/local newspapers. The students avail the library facilities through the library membership card valid for one academic year. The library is fully automated with barcode technology for the issue and return of books using Alice for Window Library software.

Al- Barkaat Public School celebrated its Annual Sports Day at the school ground in a frolicsome atmosphere. The grand ceremony was graced by the Indian Hockey legend Mr. Zafar Iqbal as the Chief Guest, Mr Pankaj Kumar Pandey, S.P. City Aligarh and Mr. Vikram Singh, R.T.O Aligarh were the Guests of Honour. Prof. Sayyed Muhammad Amin Sb., President, Al Barkaat Educational Society and the Executive committee of Al- Barkaat Educational Society were also present. The ceremony was auspicated with the recital of verses from the Holy Quran followed by the welcome address by the Joint Secretary, Al Barkaat Educational Society, Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui.
An exquisite display of Hockey was presented by the students of Al Barkaat Public School (+2) to honour the Hockey Legend – Mr. Zafar Iqbal.
The event was marked by a string of spectacular performances presented by the students of  Al-Barkaat Public School who were brimming with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The events started with the march past led by the Head Girl and the Head Boy followed by the respective houses Cosmos, Lily, Rose and Tulip. The sports torch relay was carried by the Chief Guest Mr. Zafar Iqbal passing on to the various house captains and finally to the Girl’s sports Captain Shomayal Aisha.
The sports report was presented by Mrs. Tahera Hussain, Vice- Principal, Al Barkaat Public School(+2).
A representation of SAARC countries was done by the students, which was followed by a colourful drill by the nursery section of Al- Barkaat Public School. Ms. Taskeen Zaheer a 3rd Dan Taekwondo master along with her little martial artists put forward a stunning display of Taekwondo.
The Primary section of Al- Barkaat Public School presented a drill display that kept the spectators spellbound. The Qadiria Girls Section also presented a dazzling drill portraying the victory of women in the world.
The long awaited athletics events were held which included track events such as 100 metre race and the Relay race which was followed by the Tug of War. The boys participated enthusiastically in all of them.  Tulip house was declared the overall champion house and the Fair play award was won by the Lily house. Khushnood Zia of Tulip House was declared as the Best Athlete (Boy) and Shomayal Aisha as the Best Athlete (Girl).
The event came to an end successfully with the vote of thanks by Mrs Sabiha Khan, Principal, ABPS, followed by the Tarana- e -Al- Barkaat and the Indian national anthem leaving thrilling memories in the hearts of each and everyone present there.
