Al Barkaat, 14 October

The children of Al-Barkaat public school proved their potential in Inter-school Quiz Contest held at A.M.U City school in the series of competitions  to celebrate the Sir Syed Day.

Al-Barkaat Public School stood second in the qualifying round among many schools. 11 Schools qualified for the Quiz. The Quiz was based on the topic “Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and Aligarh Movement”. 

Suhaib Zaman, Taj Ahmad and Md Mokarram all three of class XII PCM manifested their caliber and won 1^st   consolation prize.

Mrs Sabiha Khan,the Principal ABPS congratulated the children on their achievement and motivated them to participate actively in competitions.

CCA incharge Mr. Mahtab Ahmad organized the Prize Distribution. Escort teacher of the contest Mr. Fahmeed Khan, all the teachers of the school and students were present on the occasion.

The Children from different classes of the school came in  flying colours with medals and certificates in science olynpiad. Arsam Ahmad of class VIII, Rahmatullah of class X and Saba Ahmad of class XI bagged Gold Medals and certificates.

Ameer Hamza of VIII, Parvez Alam of X and Nabeel Ahmad of XI won Silver Medal while Saman Mujahid of VIII, Ammar Ahamad of X and Saif Ur Rehman of XI got Bronze Medal.

Mrs. Sabiha Khan, the Principal, ABPS gave away the prizes in the morning assembly. CCA Incharge Mr. Mahtab Ahmad organized the prize distribution. Science teacher Mrs. Neena Sharma, Mrs. Mehar Bano, all the teachers and students were present on the occasion.

Al Barkaat, 08 October

An Inter-House Debate Competition was held at Al-Barkaat Public School for the Junior (VI-VII) and the Senior (IX-XII) groups. Master Hammad, VII C of Cosmos House and Zaid Qamar, VII A of Tulip House won the First Prize jointly.

Master Osama Ansari, VIII C of Lily House was adjudged Second while Master Ahmad Fahadullah VIII B of Tulip House bagged the Third Prize under the Junior Group.

Master Suhaib Zaman, XII PCM of Lily House, Musab Zaman X A of Rose House and Anas Khan XI PCM of Cosmos House were declared  First, Second and Third respectively under  the Senior Group.

Md. Faizal VII C of Rose House and Umair IX B of Lily House won the Consolation Prizes.

Mrs. Sabiha Khan the Principal, ABPS congratulated  and encouraged the children. She also advised the teachers to organize such a programme from time to time.  Mrs. Tahera Hussain, HOD, Qadiria Girls’ Section and one of the jury members of the programme said in her remarks, ”Debate enhances the mental acumen of children.  It inculcates the aptitude of putting forward their opinions and develops the Leadership Quality.” She alongwith the C.C.A Incharge and PGT English Mr. Mahtab Ahmad judged the Debate.

English Literary Club Incharge Ms. Tatheer Aziz conducted the programme. English Teachers Ms. Tahreem, Dr. Farheen,Ms Ifrah and the students were present on the occasion.

So, our school is organizing the Inter School Volley Ball and Basket Ball Tournament 2011.

The volleyball tournament will be held on 14^th October, and Basketball Tournament on 15^th October at 9:00 AM at Al Barkaat Sports Complex

Al-Barkaat, 02 Octobet

A special assembly on Gandhi Jyanti was organized at Al Barkaat Public School.

The program started with the recitation of the Holy verses of the Qu’ran by Mohd. Nehauddin of class VIII B. Master Osama Ansari of class VIII B made a speech in English throwing some light on the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi while an Urdu speech was delivered by Master Zeeshan of classs IX C.

The Principal Mrs. Sabiha Khan addressed the morning assembly highlighting the dogma of Gandhi’s non-violence and truth and advised the children to follow his suit. Mrs. Tahira Husain, HOD, Qadiria Girls’ Section also expressed her invaluable views on Gandhi’s Biography.

The girls’ choir sang a beautiful song while the boy’s choir presented the dua followed by the National Anthem in the end.

The programme was conducted by Qazi Abdul Raheem of Class XI PCB. CCA Incharge & Art teacher, Qadiria Girls’ Section Mrs. Nadira Ahmad, Games And Sports incharge Mr. Danish Mohsin, CCA Incharge Mr. Mahtab Ahmad, all the teachers and students were present on the occasion.

An Inter-school English speech competition was held at MU College, Aligarh for the Junior and Senior Groups in which Master Osama Ansari of class VIII C won the first prize under Junior Group while Master Sumit Belwal of class XII PCM got the participation certificate under Senior Group.

 Mrs. Sabiha Khan, the Principal, ABPS congratulated the children on their winning and participation saying that taking part in any contest is more important than winning. She announced it in the morning assembly and encouraged the children to take part in any contest actively.

Aligarh: A fancy dress competition was organized with a great pomp and show at Al Barkaat Juniors wing. Dr. Azra Iraqi, Former Senior Pediatrician, JNMC, Aligarh Muslim University and Mrs. Nasreen Bano, Principal, Girls City High School, Qazipara graced the occasion as the chief guests. Dr. Azra Said, “Junk food is very harmful for the children. It leads to various diseases like obesity, acidity and heart ailments.” She suggested the children to use the home made food for keeping themselves physically and mentally fit. She advised the parents also to take care of it. Mrs. Nasreen Bano appreciated and encouraged the children for their fabulous performance. She said, “These types of programme should be organized from time to time for their overall personality development.”  

Mrs. Saba Haque, Headmistress of the junior wing welcomed the chief guests and the dignitaries from the core of the heart saying that the presence of these personalities add glory to the programme and encourage the children. Mrs. Sabiha Khan Principal, ABPS, Mrs. Tahira Husain, HOD, Girls Section, Mrs. Tabassum Saqlain, Incharge Primary Section, Art & Craft Incharge Mrs. Nadira Ahmad and guests glorified the programme with their benign presence. The programme was compered by Ms. Shazia Rashid.

The competition was divided into three categories. Muntaha Mirza of class I A was  adjudged first as watermelon, Iffah Izhar of class I B stood second as cabbage under “Healthy & Junk food Category”. Sheeraz of Class I C  bagged Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, as a renowned person under “freedom fighters category”. Ahmad Hamza Zainab of class II A won as Goa, Faraz Khan Of II B as Punjab and Areeba Siddiqui II C as Kerela respectively under “People from different states of India”.

The entire teaching staff, the children and the parents were present on the occasion.

English Quiz Organised Under Weekly Co-Curricular Activity Programme

Al-Barkaat Public School

    An English Quiz was organised under C.C.A. programme in Al Barkaat Public School. The contest was divided into four groups viz A, B, C and D. The team 'D' stood first followed by the team 'B' and the team 'A' for second and third position respectively.

    Mr. Mehtab Ahmad and Ms. Shagufta were present as the Members of Jury. Speaking on the occasion, The Incharge of Girls' Section Mrs. Tahira Hussain asserted that such types of programmes enhance the confidence as well as the overall development of the children that is the main objective of C.C.E introduced by C.B.S.E. The programme was conducted by Ms. Tatheer.

    The entire teaching and non teaching staff were present on the occasion.
