Al-Barkaat Public School (+2)

The school is situated on the Anoopshahr Road near Jamalpur Railway Crossing approximately 5 kms from Aligarh Railway Station. The school prepares students for All India Secondary/Sr. Sec. School Examination (Class X/XII) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. It also caters for separate residential facilities to Boys and Girls from classes VI to XII. The medium of instruction is English at all levels.
The school has separate well-equipped science laboratories viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, computer Science and Mathematics for Secondary/Sr. Sec. level. These laboratories provide opportunities to understand the subject well through experiments done under the supervision of qualified and experienced teachers.
The school has a well established & spacious library. The library has on its shelves a large number of text books, story-books, Encyclopedia, reference books and books on moral values and general knowledge in English, Hindi and Urdu. The library has regular subscription to competitive examination magazines such as Science Reporter, Competition Success Review, journals and periodicals alongwith national/local newspapers. The students avail the library facilities through the library membership card valid for one academic year. The library is fully automated with barcode technology for the issue and return of books using Alice for Window Library software.

A National group song competition was organized by Bharat Vikas  Parishad at Raghunath Bhawan of Shri Varshey College, Aligarh.
The students of Maheshwari, Chiranjilal, Champa Lal, Ratan Prem and DAV Inter College participated in this contest.
Al Barkaat Public School was adjudged first followed by Chiranji lal and Maheshwari as second and third prize winner in the competition.
In another Inter School Group song competition organized by Aligarh Muslim University at Ahmadi School for the visually challenged on the occasion of Sir Syed Day celebration, the school won the first prize.
Music teacher Mr. Shahid Sheikh was present on this occasion. 
The School Management and Administration congratulated the children on their fabulous performance.

Al Barkaat, 17 October
A district Inter School football tournament on the occasion of Sir Syed Day celebration was organized by Aligarh Muslim University.
The final match of this tournament was played between AL Barkaat Public School and Senior Secondary School, A.M.U. at the university football playground A.M.U. Al Barkaat Public School came in flying colours and defeated senior secondary by 1-0. Master Tulaib Bin Ayyub scored the goal by dodging all the defenders skillfully.
Prof S. M. Amin , President, Al Barkaat Educational Society, extended his hearties congratulation to the entire football team and the coach for this wonderful feat. Through his message he said, “Al Barkaat Public School must touch the height of success in academic results also along with such type of achievement in games and sports and other fields.”
Mr. S. M. Ashraf, Vice President of Al Barkaat Educational Society announced rewards for them on winning accolades for the school.
Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, Joint Secretary, Al Barkaat Educational Society, applauded the good show by the school team saying that winning this trophy is a prized moment for the school as Al Barkaat Public School had been participating in this tournament and qualified the semi final in the past but the distinction of winning laurel for the school was bagged this time. This institute lays equal emphases on academics as well as sports.

Siddiqui, Coordinator, ABEIs,        Mrs. Sabiha Khan Principal, ABPS, Mrs. Tahera Hussain Siddiqui, vice Principal, ABPS and the entire staff congratulated the team, games and  Sports Incharge Mr. Danish Mohsin and all the sports teachers on this remarkable feat.

A special assembly on the occasion of Sir Syed Day was organized at Al Barkaat Public School. The programme started with the recitation of verses from the holy Qur’an. The students presented a detailed biography of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan through their speeches in English and Urdu. The school choir overwhelmed the audience by presenting, “Aye Aligarh Mere”. The assembly was compered by Master Sabur Ahmad Khan.
Speaking on this occasion Mrs. Sabiha Khan, Principal Al Barkaat Public School said, “Sir Syed Ahmad Khan took a remarkable initiative to lay down the foundation of Aligarh Muslim University for building modern India as well as promoting secular education.” She further added, “ We should not put Sir Syed Day merely to formalities rather take innovative steps to strengthen  Sir Syed’s mission i.e. to established mutual coordination between education and peace. Even today, there is a great significance of the value education preached by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. He also laid emphasis on the importance of science and modern education.”
On this occasion Mrs. Tahera Husain Siddiqui, Vice - Principal, ABPS, Mrs. Saba Haque, Headmistress ABPS(Junior Wing), Mr. Nasir Husain, Special Assembly Incharge, all the teachers and students were present.

The increasing cases of oral cancer between the age group of 20 years and 30 years are becoming cause of concern for oncologists around the world and especially in India.
Prof. Shahid Siddiqui, Department of Radiotherapy, J. N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University along with his team of oncologists Dr. Masroor and Dr. Kashif made the students of Al Barkaat Public School aware of the ill effects of smoking and chewing tobacco. Speaking to the students he said, “ Before they  proceed to use these things, they should know of the harm and its repercussions of using them”.
He also showed slides of patients inflicted with oral cancer which has inversely  affected their life.
In the end, Prof Shahid Siddiqui invited the students if they had any queries and told them, if any one needed any piece of professional advice, they should feel free to meet him
The Principal ABPS, the Vice Principal ABPS, all the teachers and students were present in this programme.

An inter school debate competition was held at Al Barkaat Public School to hone the speaking skills of the students and make them aware of the current hot topics of today’s discussion.
The topics were: “It is impossible to eliminate corruption in India” for the junior group and “Social Networking sites should be banned” for the senior group.  Around 10 prestigious schools from Aligarh i.e.  AMU City Girls’ High School, S. T. S. High School, Ayesha Tarin Modern Public School, Heritage International School, Iqra Public School, Our Lady Of Fatima School, St. Fedelis School, AMU City High School(Boys) and Al Barkaat Public School took part in this competition with full enthusiasm.  The programme started with the recitation of verses from the holy Qur’an.
Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, Joint Secretary of Al Barkaat Educational Society introduced the learned judges and encouraged the entire participants.
Under the junior group, Fauzia Mustafa of Our Lady of Fatima bagged the first prize. The second prize was won by Ahmad Shoeb of St. Fidelis School while Noman Ashraf of Al Barkaat Public School stood third. The consolation prizes were grabbed by Ufaf Haya of Ayesha Tarin Modern School, Nikita Motwani of St. Fidelis and Mohammad Umam as well as Syeda Fatima Zehra Zaidi of Our Lady of Fatima respectively.
Under the senior group, Tahir Hussain of STS High School won the First Prize, Ahmad Uzair of Our Lady Of Fatima won the second prize and Salman Mustafa of STS High School bagged the third prize. The consolation prizes were conferred upon Ankita and Khadeeja of St. Fidelis as well as Adeeba of AMU City Girls’ High School respectively.
Mrs. Sabiha Khan, Principal ABPS presided over the competition. Dr. Arman Rasool Faridi, Dr. Raghib Gauhar, Dr. Naghma Azhar and Dr. Asif Akhtar from Aligarh Muslim University  were the judges for the contest. Towards the end Mr. Arman Rasool  one of the esteemed judges gave students tips on the art of presenting a good debate and also distinguished between speech and debate .
In the end, Mrs. Tahera Husain, Vice Principal, ABPS proposed the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end with the Tarana – e – Al Barkaat and the National Anthem.

Al Barkaat Public School is participating in CBSE Cluster- III football Tournament (Boys) hosted by The Aaryans School, Meerut and has qualified for the group semi-final.
The school won its first match by 11 – 0 and the second match by 2 – 0 to enter the quarter final.
The quarter final match was won by 2-0 to enter the group semi final.
The school management and administration congratulated the team on their outstanding performance and wished them a good luck ahead.
Mr. Danish Mohsin is the escort teacher to the football team.

एक चिड़िया सागर किनारे एक पेड़ पर रहती थी। उसके दो छोटे -छोटे बच्चे थे, चिड़िया दाना लेने जाती और आकर अपने बच्चो के मुँह मे डालती । बस ऐसे ही मजे से दिन गुजर रहे थे। एक दिन चिड़िया दाना लेने गई हुई थी, पीछे से सागर को शरारत सूझी उसने अपनी लहरें बढाकरदोनो बच्चो को अपने में समा लिया । चिड़िया वापस आयी तब अपने घोंसले के पास लहरो के निशान देख समझ गई कि उसके बच्चे समुद्र निगल गया है। चिड़िया ने सागर से अपने बच्चे वापस मांगे सागर साफ मुकर गयाबोला मेरे पास नही है कोई और ले गया होगा। एक छोटी सी चिड़िया अथाह सागर का क्या बिगाड़ लेती, पर वो हार मानने वाली नही थीउसने तय कर लिया कि वो अपने बच्चे सागर से ले कर मानेगी। चिड़िया सागर किनारे बैठकर अपनी चोंच मे सागर का पानी भरकर उसे बाहर मिट्टी मे डालने लगी और प्रण कर लिया कि जब तक सागर उसके बच्चे नही दे देता तब तक वो सागर को इसी तरह खाली करेगी । चिड़िया के इस करतब पर सब हँसते थे कि एक अदनी सी चिड़िया भला कैसे सागर का मुकाबला कर सकती है पर चिड़िया ने भी ठान ली थी। जब प्रकृति माँ ने चिड़िया का साहस और प्रण देखा तो उसने सागर का पानी चिड़िया के किये प्रयास के अनुपात मे कम करना शुरु कर दिया । धीरे-धीरे समुद्र का पानी कम होने लगा तो सागर को भय हुआ। उसने चिड़िया से माफी माँगी और उसके बच्चे वापस कर दिये ।

शिक्षा :- अपने को कम न आंको, जुल्म करने वाला कितना ही ताकतवर क्यो ना हो जीत सच्चाई की होती है। लगातार परिश्रम और अडिग प्रण से ही सफलता मिलती है। जिस तरह से चिड़िया की लगनदेखकर प्रकृतिने उसकी सहायता की उसी तरह आप भी अपने कार्य में लगन से जुट जाइये सहायता ईश्वर करेगा। दुनिया के इस अथाह सागर में हमारा प्रयास उस चिड़िया की तरह ही है।  लेकिन विश्वास है एक दिन सफलता जरुर मिलेगी।
