Al-Barkaat Public School (+2)

The school is situated on the Anoopshahr Road near Jamalpur Railway Crossing approximately 5 kms from Aligarh Railway Station. The school prepares students for All India Secondary/Sr. Sec. School Examination (Class X/XII) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. It also caters for separate residential facilities to Boys and Girls from classes VI to XII. The medium of instruction is English at all levels.
The school has separate well-equipped science laboratories viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, computer Science and Mathematics for Secondary/Sr. Sec. level. These laboratories provide opportunities to understand the subject well through experiments done under the supervision of qualified and experienced teachers.
The school has a well established & spacious library. The library has on its shelves a large number of text books, story-books, Encyclopedia, reference books and books on moral values and general knowledge in English, Hindi and Urdu. The library has regular subscription to competitive examination magazines such as Science Reporter, Competition Success Review, journals and periodicals alongwith national/local newspapers. The students avail the library facilities through the library membership card valid for one academic year. The library is fully automated with barcode technology for the issue and return of books using Alice for Window Library software.

Al-Barkaat, 22 April
A conference on the World Earth Day was organized under the ageis of Al-Barkaat Educational Society and Dainik Jagran Group in which many scholars expressed their opinions on the utilization and conservation of the natural resources.

The conference started with the recitation of The Holy Verses from the Qur’an.  Then, all the invited guests and speakers were felicitated with the bouquets and mementos.  Dr. Ahmad Mujtata Siddiqui, Joint Secretary of Al-Barkaat Educational Society introduced the guests.
On this occasion Prof. Salahuddin Qureshi, Prominent Educationist, Department of Geography AMU said, “It is not a new issue” we should judiciously utilize the natural resources and conserve it at present.  Today its 41st World Earth Day.  On Earth, water is the most precious element and it is our responsibility to utilize and conserve it.  In this context he shared  the means and ways of water harvesting and conservation.
Shri Subodh Nandan Sharma, Patron, Haritma Parayaran Society said, “we are the expert of nature but we are not so sensitive to its balance what should be at present.  Unity and Communal harmony lead to the conservation of natural resources.
The Chief Speaker and famous Environmentalists Dr. B.D. Singh said, “There is a chaos in the world due to man’s need and greed for the nature and modernization is leading to the misuse of natural resources.  In the name of development we are exploiting the earth and denuding it.  This alleged interference has put a great loss to the earth and it is very difficult to make it up.    It is only possible if we put in our best efforts together to conserve and untilise it in the best manner.  The earth is a gift of God so their should not be unnecessary, untimely and excessive interference that can lead to a great devastation.
Conducting the programming Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, Joint Secretary, apprised all of us that Al-Barkaat Educational Society has been organizing such seminars from time to time and regularly putting in endevour to make people aware of it.  Al-Barkaat Educational Society is shortly going to open an evening school for the weaker section of the society at the nominal fee in which there is a provision of quality of education.
On this occasion a tree plantation was also done in the premises of Al-Barkaat Institute of Management Studies.  The Choir of ABIMS presented a special song on the World Earth Day written by ABIMS Student Mr. Atif.  The Children were given away prizes for essay writing competition.
In the end of conference Dr. Waseem Ahmad, Director, ABIMS propsed a vote of thanks.

On this occasion IRS Nawab Midhat Ullah Sherwani, Mr. Vishnu Kumar ‘Banti’ Manv Upkar Samiti, Dr. Arshi Khan, Prof. Nazim Ali, Er. S.V. Singh, famous educationists, teachers, students and non teaching staff were present.
