Aligarh : “Children`s all round development is possible with the motivation towards sports alongwith the academics”. This thought was expressed by the Chief Guest Thakur Jaiveer Singh the Honourable Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister at the annual sports day organized by Al-Barkaat Public School, Aligarh. He said, "The kind of education Al-Barkaat is imparting is meant for the moral and social development of the children". In the context of the famous saying “Health is Wealth” the eminent minister threw light on the utility of sports along with academics. The guest of Honour Mr. Mukesh Babu Shukla, DIG Aligarh Zone in his address described the function as a grand one and appreciated the performance of the children. He said," The effort of teachers is the key to success of this programme." The programme started with the recitation of the holy verses from the Quran. Then, the nursery children made the audience feel the presence of stars on earth with their beautiful butterfly dance. Various events like Drill, Pyramid and Taekwondo were shown on the occasion. Prof. S.M. Amin Sb Honourable President, Al-Barkaat Educational Society presented a bouquet and a shawl to the Chief Guest. Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, the joint secretary of the society presented a bouquet and a shawl to the Guest of Honour Mr. Mukesh Babu Shukla, DIG Aligarh.The programme was presided by Prof. S.M. Amin Sb, The President of Al-Barkaat Educationaln Society. He exhorted the teachers for the continuous efforts to bring about the better result of Al-Barkaat in the future. Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, the Joint Secretary, Al-Barkaat Educational Society in his welcome address for the guests said , "In order to ensure success of any programme, it is very necessary to participate with full preparation and hard work."The secretary of Al-Barkaat Educational Society Mr. Vivek Bansal ,Honourable MLC appreciated the best performance of the children and inspired them for the respect of the teachers and better result also along with the sports under the guidance of the teachers. Different events like Long jump,Shot put,1500m race, 400m race,Spoon& marble race,Needle& thread race, Skipping, Tug of war, Sum race for senior junior boys and girls were organized in which school houses cosmos, Tulip, Rose and Lily participated. The Cosmos House was adjudged the House Champion. Tulip House bagged the Best Participating, Rose House the Best Performance, and Lily House the Best Discipline House respectively. Master Nasir Hussain, Rose House, Anam Javed, Rose House, M. Raghib, Cosmos House and Fahim Abid were adjudged the best athletes under individual group. The Principal Mrs. Sabiha khan proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was jointly well organized by sports incharge Mr. Danish Mohsin, games teachers Dr.Babul Akhtar, Mr. Safi ur Rehman, Miss Seema Zaitoon and Miss Taskeen Zehra. Mr. Mahtab Ahmad, Miss Nakshab Afaq and Miss Arshi Naaz conducted the programme. Mrs. Nadira Ahmad, incharge Arts & crafts and her counterparts’ alongwith all the teachers contributed their full support in order to make the programme successful. Dr. F.U Siddiqui ,Coordinator Al-Barkaat Educational Instuitutions, Dr. Waseem Ahmad, Director, Al-Barkaat Management Institute, Dr. Saba Hasan ,Principal Al-Barkaat Institute of Education, eminent guests Dr. M I Khan, Prof. Salahuddin Qureshi, Mrs. Hina Qureshi, Mrs. Saba Haq Headmistress Al-Barkaat Public school, Mrs. Tahira Hussain, Incharge Girls’ Section, Mrs. Tabassum Saqlain Incharge Nursery section and all the teachers and the Non-Teaching staff members were present on the occasion.
