Al-Barkaat Public School (+2)

The school is situated on the Anoopshahr Road near Jamalpur Railway Crossing approximately 5 kms from Aligarh Railway Station. The school prepares students for All India Secondary/Sr. Sec. School Examination (Class X/XII) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. It also caters for separate residential facilities to Boys and Girls from classes VI to XII. The medium of instruction is English at all levels.
The school has separate well-equipped science laboratories viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, computer Science and Mathematics for Secondary/Sr. Sec. level. These laboratories provide opportunities to understand the subject well through experiments done under the supervision of qualified and experienced teachers.
The school has a well established & spacious library. The library has on its shelves a large number of text books, story-books, Encyclopedia, reference books and books on moral values and general knowledge in English, Hindi and Urdu. The library has regular subscription to competitive examination magazines such as Science Reporter, Competition Success Review, journals and periodicals alongwith national/local newspapers. The students avail the library facilities through the library membership card valid for one academic year. The library is fully automated with barcode technology for the issue and return of books using Alice for Window Library software.

“Umr bhar such ke sewa kucch na kaha”
(Told nothing but the truth throughout my life)
Aligarh: Prof. Akhlaq Mohd. Khan Shahryar eve was organized amidst rosy winter at Al-Barkaat situated on the Anoopshahr Road. Prof. S.M Amin Sb, President, Al-Barkaat Educational Society and Prof. Iftekhar Alam presented a beautiful portrait, books and a memento to Prof. Shahryar on behalf of the ABPS Management. Prof. Amin Sb started the programme with his welcome speech. He gave a brief introduction of Shahryar and his achievements.
When Prof. Iftekhar Alam, renowned Professor Department of Museology, Aligarh Muslim University described the personality of shahryar in a couplet, the whole library hall echoed with a huge round of applause. He said”Whenever he wanted to understand Shahryar, he took the help of his own famous book “kulliyat-e-shahryar” from which the couplets describe him the most.
First-“Mere sewa har ek se duniya ye poochti rahi, Mujhsa jo ek shaks tha pathar me kab badal gaya?”(The world asked everyone except me,When there was a man like me changed into stone?)
Second-“Umr bhar such hi kaha – such ke sewa kucch na kaha, Ajr kya hoga kabhi na socha hamne”.(I told nothing but the truth throughout my life, And never thought of the results whatsoever be)
Prof. Iftekhar recited Shahryar`s poems on Pakistan, current situations and other topics as well.                     Prof Shahryar said, ”What I have got is the love and respect of my friends. What I have got is the love of all. The rewards and honours seem good when all are together. Friends have always given me love and respect and have never taken anything except the same.”
Mr. S. M. Afzal, IG Gawalior and Former A.M.U registrar also recited his own couplets –“Na koi khirki na darwaza wapsi ke liye,Makane khwab me jaane ke saikron dar hain”(No doors and windows to come back, There are hundreds of doors  to dreams dwelling)
Conducting the Programme successfully Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, Joint Secretary ABES, recited several couplets. In this series Mr. Rizwanur Rizwan, Saghar Sitapuri, Abid Ali Abid and Prof Sagheer Afrahim too presented their couplets
On this occasion, the school music teacher Mr. Shahid Parvez sang the lyrics of Shahryar – “Seene Mein Jalan, Aankhon mein tufan sa kiyun hai?” (Why is the heart burning and something of a storm in the eyes?).
The school art teacher Ms. Anubha Singh made a portrait of Prof. Shahryar.

    really a unique and meaningful couplet, I have ever read or heard!! and...Of course, it's brimmed with a powerful synchronization of Language and its content....Even, I feel inquisitive to hear the complete Ghazal....
