Al-Barkaat Public School (+2)

The school is situated on the Anoopshahr Road near Jamalpur Railway Crossing approximately 5 kms from Aligarh Railway Station. The school prepares students for All India Secondary/Sr. Sec. School Examination (Class X/XII) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. It also caters for separate residential facilities to Boys and Girls from classes VI to XII. The medium of instruction is English at all levels.
The school has separate well-equipped science laboratories viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, computer Science and Mathematics for Secondary/Sr. Sec. level. These laboratories provide opportunities to understand the subject well through experiments done under the supervision of qualified and experienced teachers.
The school has a well established & spacious library. The library has on its shelves a large number of text books, story-books, Encyclopedia, reference books and books on moral values and general knowledge in English, Hindi and Urdu. The library has regular subscription to competitive examination magazines such as Science Reporter, Competition Success Review, journals and periodicals alongwith national/local newspapers. The students avail the library facilities through the library membership card valid for one academic year. The library is fully automated with barcode technology for the issue and return of books using Alice for Window Library software.

Fancy Dress Competition At Al-Barkaat

Aligarh: A fancy dress competition was organized with a great pomp and show at Al Barkaat Juniors wing. Dr. Azra Iraqi, Former Senior Pediatrician, JNMC, Aligarh Muslim University and Mrs. Nasreen Bano, Principal, Girls City High School, Qazipara graced the occasion as the chief guests. Dr. Azra Said, “Junk food is very harmful for the children. It leads to various diseases like obesity, acidity and heart ailments.” She suggested the children to use the home made food for keeping themselves physically and mentally fit. She advised the parents also to take care of it. Mrs. Nasreen Bano appreciated and encouraged the children for their fabulous performance. She said, “These types of programme should be organized from time to time for their overall personality development.”  
Mrs. Saba Haque, Headmistress of the junior wing welcomed the chief guests and the dignitaries from the core of the heart saying that the presence of these personalities add glory to the programme and encourage the children. Mrs. Sabiha Khan Principal, ABPS, Mrs. Tahira Husain, HOD, Girls Section, Mrs. Tabassum Saqlain, Incharge Primary Section, Art & Craft Incharge Mrs. Nadira Ahmad and guests glorified the programme with their benign presence. The programme was compered by Ms. Shazia Rashid.
The competition was divided into three categories. Muntaha Mirza of class I A was  adjudged first as watermelon, Iffah Izhar of class I B stood second as cabbage under “Healthy & Junk food Category”. Sheeraz of Class I C  bagged Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, as a renowned person under “freedom fighters category”. Ahmad Hamza Zainab of class II A won as Goa, Faraz Khan Of II B as Punjab and Areeba Siddiqui II C as Kerela respectively under “People from different states of India”.
The entire teaching staff, the children and the parents were present on the occasion.
