A special
assembly on the occasion of Sir Syed Day was organized at Al Barkaat Public School.
The programme started with the recitation of verses from the holy Qur’an. The students
presented a detailed biography of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan through their speeches in
English and Urdu. The school choir overwhelmed the audience by presenting, “Aye
Aligarh Mere”. The assembly was compered by Master Sabur Ahmad Khan.
Speaking on this occasion
Mrs. Sabiha Khan, Principal Al Barkaat Public School said, “Sir Syed Ahmad Khan
took a remarkable initiative to lay down the foundation of Aligarh Muslim
University for building modern India as well as promoting secular education.”
She further added, “ We should not put Sir Syed Day merely to formalities
rather take innovative steps to strengthen Sir Syed’s mission i.e. to established mutual
coordination between education and peace. Even today, there is a great
significance of the value education preached by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. He also
laid emphasis on the importance of science and modern education.”
On this occasion
Mrs. Tahera Husain Siddiqui, Vice - Principal, ABPS, Mrs. Saba Haque,
Headmistress ABPS(Junior Wing), Mr. Nasir Husain, Special Assembly Incharge,
all the teachers and students were present.
