Al Barkaat, 08 October

An Inter-House Debate Competition was held at Al-Barkaat Public School for the Junior (VI-VII) and the Senior (IX-XII) groups. Master Hammad, VII C of Cosmos House and Zaid Qamar, VII A of Tulip House won the First Prize jointly.

Master Osama Ansari, VIII C of Lily House was adjudged Second while Master Ahmad Fahadullah VIII B of Tulip House bagged the Third Prize under the Junior Group.

Master Suhaib Zaman, XII PCM of Lily House, Musab Zaman X A of Rose House and Anas Khan XI PCM of Cosmos House were declared  First, Second and Third respectively under  the Senior Group.

Md. Faizal VII C of Rose House and Umair IX B of Lily House won the Consolation Prizes.

Mrs. Sabiha Khan the Principal, ABPS congratulated  and encouraged the children. She also advised the teachers to organize such a programme from time to time.  Mrs. Tahera Hussain, HOD, Qadiria Girls’ Section and one of the jury members of the programme said in her remarks, ”Debate enhances the mental acumen of children.  It inculcates the aptitude of putting forward their opinions and develops the Leadership Quality.” She alongwith the C.C.A Incharge and PGT English Mr. Mahtab Ahmad judged the Debate.

English Literary Club Incharge Ms. Tatheer Aziz conducted the programme. English Teachers Ms. Tahreem, Dr. Farheen,Ms Ifrah and the students were present on the occasion.
