Al-Barkaat Public School (+2)

The school is situated on the Anoopshahr Road near Jamalpur Railway Crossing approximately 5 kms from Aligarh Railway Station. The school prepares students for All India Secondary/Sr. Sec. School Examination (Class X/XII) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. It also caters for separate residential facilities to Boys and Girls from classes VI to XII. The medium of instruction is English at all levels.
The school has separate well-equipped science laboratories viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, computer Science and Mathematics for Secondary/Sr. Sec. level. These laboratories provide opportunities to understand the subject well through experiments done under the supervision of qualified and experienced teachers.
The school has a well established & spacious library. The library has on its shelves a large number of text books, story-books, Encyclopedia, reference books and books on moral values and general knowledge in English, Hindi and Urdu. The library has regular subscription to competitive examination magazines such as Science Reporter, Competition Success Review, journals and periodicals alongwith national/local newspapers. The students avail the library facilities through the library membership card valid for one academic year. The library is fully automated with barcode technology for the issue and return of books using Alice for Window Library software.

The celebration of Teachers Day at Al- Barkaat Educational Society was not over on 5th September. The Management of Al- Barkaat Educational Institutions had its own fashion of thanking its teaching fraternity.
The Management of Al- Barkaat Educational Society organized a teacher’s only celebration on 6th September a day after Teachers day thanking the teachers and their dedicated efforts towards the growth of the student body and Al- Barkaat Educational Society.
The proceeding of the program was taken care by Mr. Faraz Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Al- Barkaat Institute of Management Studies. The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr. Noman Azhari of Al- Barkaat Institute for Islamic Studies followed by an extolling address by Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, Joint Secretary, Al- Barkaat Educational Society, highlighting the teacher- student relationship difference with reference to the current era and the era 3- 4 decades back. This was followed by the distribution of certificates of excellence by the HRD Ministry, Government of India to some selected faculty of Al- Barkaat Educational Institutions for their meritorious achievement in the field of education. The recipients of these certificates included:

The certificates were distributed by Prof. S. M. Amin Sb., President, Al- Barkaat Educational Society. Prof. S. M. Amin congratulated the recipients of this certificate and praised the unparalleled faculty of Al- Barkaat Educational Institutions.
 A short skit highlighting the value of education was presented by the students of Al- Barkaat Institute of Management Studies.
In the end Dr. Faheem Usman Siddiqui, Coordinator, Al- Barkaat Educational Institutions, read out the vote of thanks, which was followed by a sumptuous lunch and gift distribution to the faculty members of Al- Barkaat Educational Institutions.

The Teacher’s Day at Al-Barkaat Public School was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm and fervor. 
On this occasion a special assembly was conducted by the students to honour their teachers. Warda Beg of class X was incharge for the proceedings of the assembly. The assembly started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Master Hasan of class VI which was followed by a beautiful nazm recited by Master Sarooj Ghalib of class VI.
The primary section of Al-Barkaat honoured the teachers with a sweet song “Hum Chote Bachche” which was followed by an enlightening speech by Arma Bano of class X highlighting the role of teachers and the importance of Teachers Day.
The singing troop of Al-Barkaat presented an enthralling song “Maro na hume Madam…” which was a humorous plea of students to the teachers.
The Vice-Principal of ABPS, Mrs. Tahera Hussain lauded the contribution made by the teachers of the school for their devotion to the cause of education.
The Principal of ABPS, Mrs. Sabiha Khan thanked all the teachers and put more emphasis on moral and ethical values, which she expected the students to follow.
The best part of the programme was the enactment of the teachers by the students. The student’s creative minds found the lookalike of their teachers among themselves, dressed up like their teachers and took over the academic and administrative working of the school for the day. They felt proud running the school and realized the importance of teachers in their lives.
In the end the Principal thanked all the students and wished that the students would be great future nation builders.

The investiture ceremony was held at Al Barkaat Public School (+2) in which the Principal, ABPS Mrs. Sabiha Khan had the oath taken by the post holders to shoulder their responsibilities and realize the duties to maintain discipline in the school. Besides they should act upon the advice of the teachers for school programmes and activities and extend their full cooperation from time to time.
The office bearers are Mohsin Alam Khan (Head Boy), Nausheen Khan (Head Girl), Aman Ali Khan (Proctorial Monitor Boys) and Momina Khan (Proctorial Monitor Girls).
Kudos to the school for bagging the trophy.  The Principal felicitated the hockey and Cricket teams in which certificates and mementos were given out to the winners. On this occasion Mr. Daniyal Arif of Class VIII who participated in the National Roller Hockey Championship which was held in Kurukshetra, Haryana and bagged the gold medal was also honoured.
Mrs. Tahera Hussain, Vice Principal, Mrs. Tabassum Saqlain, Headmistress, Mr. Safi Ur Rehman, Proctor, CCA Incharge Mr. Nasir Husain, Ms. Nadira Ahmad, Mr. Deepak Kumar Gupta, Mr. Ebadul Haque, Ms. Rehana Saeed  together with all the teachers and students of the school were also present on the occasion.

Al-Barkaat Public School was victorious against Hamza Cricket Academy by 6 wickets in the final match of the cricket tournament organized by Hamza Cricket Academy at the Al Barkaat Playground, Aligarh.  Noman Azhar was the Man of the Match in this final match. The school played four matches to enter the final.
