Al-Barkaat Public School (+2)

The school is situated on the Anoopshahr Road near Jamalpur Railway Crossing approximately 5 kms from Aligarh Railway Station. The school prepares students for All India Secondary/Sr. Sec. School Examination (Class X/XII) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. It also caters for separate residential facilities to Boys and Girls from classes VI to XII. The medium of instruction is English at all levels.
The school has separate well-equipped science laboratories viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, computer Science and Mathematics for Secondary/Sr. Sec. level. These laboratories provide opportunities to understand the subject well through experiments done under the supervision of qualified and experienced teachers.
The school has a well established & spacious library. The library has on its shelves a large number of text books, story-books, Encyclopedia, reference books and books on moral values and general knowledge in English, Hindi and Urdu. The library has regular subscription to competitive examination magazines such as Science Reporter, Competition Success Review, journals and periodicals alongwith national/local newspapers. The students avail the library facilities through the library membership card valid for one academic year. The library is fully automated with barcode technology for the issue and return of books using Alice for Window Library software.

Al-Barkaat, 23 May
Al-Barkaat Public School was placed in the seventh heaven with the declaration of CBSE class XII result.
As many as 106 candidates appeared in the examination. The total passed percentage of the school remain 98.5%. Total distinctions in different subjects by the candidates were 149 in total.
Shahwaz Qaseem of commerce topped in the school with 86% followed by Saima Khanam of the same stream with 84.4% and Anam Kamal of PCB with 83.8% respectively.
Marks achieved around and above 90% in different subjects are as follows:
Accountancy and Business Studies 95 (two each), PHE 93 (two), Biology and Computer Science 92 (one each), Economics 91, English, Physics and Chemistry 90 (one each), Geography and Entrepreneurship 89 (one each) and Mathematics 88.
The school Management and Administration extent their heartiest congratulations on the tremendous achievement by the children of the school.

A workshop on Financial Education was organized at Al-Barkaat Public School. The programme started with the recitation of the holy verses The Quran. The resource person from SEBI Mr. Ashok Kumar speaking on the occasion said, “Finance is an integral part of our life. Everyone should have knowledge about it.” He suggested the tools and elements of assessment of wealth. Everyone should properly utilize finance and save it for future use. Investment is very important. One should know when and where to invest money to combat inflation.
The programme was conducted by Dr. M. Shoeb, a teacher of Commerce. Mrs. Sabiha Khan, the Principal, ABPS, Mrs. Tahira Husain, HOD, Qadiria Girls Section, Mrs. Nazia Kausar and the entire teaching staff of senior secondary classes and all the students of class XII were present on the occasion.
The programme came to end with the vote of thanks by Mr. Askari Hasnain.

A proficiency award ceremony for the meritorious students holding First, Second and Third positions in different classes, special achievement awards and 100% attendance award was held at Al Barkaat Public School in presence of  the Parents and teachers.
Mrs. Sabiha Khan, Principal ABPS, welcomed the parents and dignitaries and threw some light on CCE(Comprehensive Continuous Evaluation). She said, “the children also pay attention to co curricular activities side by side for the overall personality development.
Addressing the audience, Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddqui, Joint Secretary, Al Barkaat Educational Society, apprised that Al Barkaat is going to open an evening school for weaker section of society from July 2011, in which there is a provision for moral, religious and value education at the nominal fees. He also congratulated the children and parents on winning awards.
Dr. F. U. Siddiqui, Coordinator, ABEIs, extended his gratitude to the parents for giving kind advice from time to time for the development of the school.
The programme was conducted by Mr. Mahtab Ahmad, a teacher of English. The programme was well supported by art teacher Mrs. Nadira Ahmad, Mr. Nasir Husain and Ms. Tatheer Aziz.
In the end, Mrs. Tahira Husain, HOD Girls Section, Proposed the vote of thanks.

A free Dental check up camp was organize at Al-Barkaat Public School. Dr. Abdul Bari, Prominent Dentist, Dr. M. Tariq Iqbal, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad, Dr. G. S. Hashmi, Maxo Facial Sugeon, Dr. M. Tariq, Ortho-Dentist, Dr. Saif Khan, Dr. Sabiha Bari and the team  successfully conducted the camp.
They shared the measures for prevention and cure of teeth.
Mrs. Saba Haque, Headmistress welcomed the guest and expressed her gratitude for organizing the camp.

Under the banner of Al-Barkaat Public School, an Asthma check up camp was, organized on the ‘World Asthma Day’ in which as many as 600 children had their free check up. The free check up was done by Dr. Farzana K. Baig, Associate Professor, Department of Pediatrics, JNMC, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and her team.
Speaking on the occasion in her introductory remark she said, “We need to make the society aware of Asthma”. She also shared the various means and ways to control Asthma.
Mrs. Sabiha Khan, the Principal, ABPS, Mrs. Tahira Husain, HOD, QGS, Mrs. Saba Haque, Headmistress and the entire teaching and non teaching staff graced the occasion.
